Yaoyao as character has been around since Genshin Impact day 1, featured in many art and wallpapers although her released delayed longer than expected due to dendro element that only available after Sumeru release (3.0).
Yaoyao is dendro character who provide both healing and dendro application with both her Elemental Skill and Burst, with her healing scaling with her Max HP. As for talent priotity, you can level up both Elemental Burst and Skill while ignoring Normal Attack completely.

Weapons
There’s some choice when it comes to Yaoyao weapon. Different build require different weapon.
You can build her as pure healer with HP weapon, ER weapon as support, and EM weapon for EM/CRIT if you intend to use her to increase Spread and Bloom DMG.
Artifacts
Your first choice is 4 Deepwood Memories, IF no other character in your team using it.
4 Deepwood Memories | (2) Dendro DMG Bonus +15%. (4) After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets’ Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field. |
If other character in the team already using 4 Deepwood, you can go with 4 Tenacity of the Millelith for it’s ATK buff.
4 Tenacity of the Millelith | (2) HP +20%. (4) When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. |
and last one if Instructor set. This set is good to boost elemental reaction damage. Too bad it’s only available with 4 star rarity at best.
4 Instructor | (2) Increases Elemental Mastery by 80. (4) Upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, increases all party members’ Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s. |

Nilou Bloom Team
There’s no Bloom Team without Nilou. Yaoyao especially useful in this team due to her Dendro Resistance bonus from her elemental burst. This team consisting of 2 Hydro with Nilou being one of them, and 2 Dendro: 1 main dendro enabler and 1 dendro helper with extra utility (shield or healing).
