Pela role in Honkai Star Rail is to provide support to the team by debuffing enemies. She have Ice Element and Nihility path. Pela is excellent debuffer who specializes in reducing the enemy’s Defense (defense shred), making her an effective support option when paired with powerful DPS characters.
Compared to other Nihility characters, Pela’s role is quite straightforward. Her mechanics involve reducing the enemy’s Defense, which can greatly enhance the damage output of her teammates.
Best Light Cones for Pela
Pela’s core mechanics to reduce enemy defense is lies in her Ultimate ability. This naturally makes Energy Regeneration essential for Pela to use her Ultimate as frequently as possible.
Unfortunately, this need cannot be fulfilled through a Light Cone, and there are alternative options you can consider.
- Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat: When the wearer hits an enemy and if the hit enemy is not already Ensnared, then there is a 60/70/80/90/100% base chance to Ensnare the hit enemy. Ensnared enemies’ DEF decreases by 12/13/14/15/16% for 1 turn(s).
- Eyes of the Prey: Increases Effect Hit Rate of its wearer by 20/25/30/35/40% and increases DoT by 24/30/36/42/48%.
- We Will Meet Again: After the wearer uses Basic ATK or Skill, the wearer deals 48/60/72/84/96% of ATK as additional DMG to a random enemy that is attacked by abilities.
Relic and Planar Ornaments
As mentioned earlier, Pela’s main task is to use her Ultimate as often as possible. Therefore, she should hold a Relic with Energy Regeneration and Speed stats. Effect Hit Rate and Ice Damage are also useful for making the most of her Skill’s effects and her Eidolon.
2 recommended relic is easy to get and most likely can be found lying around in your inventory as long as you did your weekly boss run diligently: Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Thief of Shooting Meteor.
4 Musketeer of Wild Wheat | (2) ATK increases by 12%. (4) The wearer’s SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%. |
4 Thief of Shooting Meteor | (2) Increases Break Effect by 16%. (4) Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy. |
Other alternative, you can use 4 Eagle of Twilight Line from Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Gelid Wind in Herta Space Station Storage Zone. Before you ask, yes it’s wind dmg increase relic. Ignore it’s 2 set bonus and focus on 4 set bonus.
4 Eagle of Twilight Line | (4) After the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25%. |
For planar ornament, you can either go for Fleet of the Ageless from Herta Simulated Universe World 3:
Fleet of the Ageless | (2) Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies’ ATK increases by 8%. |
Or Pan Galactic Commercial Enterprise from Herta Simulated Universe World 5:
Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise | (2) Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 10%. Meanwhile, the wearer’s ATK increases by an amount that is equal to 25% of the current Effect Hit Rate, up to a maximum of 25%. |
With stats and substats as follows:
Body | Feet | Planar Sphere | Link Rope |
---|---|---|---|
Effect Hit Rate | SPD | Ice DMG | Energy Regeneration |
Substats |
---|
Effect Hit Rate > SPD > CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG > ATK% |
Team for Pela
Due to her Defense reduction effect, Pela can typically function as a solo support in a team. This means she can be accompanied by two DPS characters and a strong healer. The more DPS characters you have, the more opportunities there are to capitalize on Pela’s debuff.
Another alternative is if you have a four-star Eidolon for Pela. You can then assemble a team with three Ice characters to make use of the Eidolon’s effects. Especially good if you have Silver Wolf in your account to create mono Ice Team with Yanqing as DPS and Gepard as Tank.
Mono Ice Team
During battles, Pela only needs to use her basic attacks. If there’s an opponent with buffs, you can use her Skill on that target. And of course, use her Ultimate whenever it’s ready.
