Barbara Bloom started out as meme but turned out to be so good. The idea is stacking Barbara with as much Elemental Mastery as you can, apply dendro, then use Barbara to trigger bloom reaction.
I guess we can say that Barbara is, late bloomer
When using Barbara in Bloom team, after applying dendro you will need use elemental skill then running around to melee distance of the enemy to get them wet, triggering bloom in the process.
Barbara can also using her Normal and Charged Attack albeit not so efficient when it comes to stamina consumption, so use it wisely.
Weapon
Barbara have quite long skill cooldown: 32s. For this reason, it’s recommended to use Sacrificial Fragments that have passive to reset character skill cooldown.
A Thousand Floating Dreams is superior due to it’s bigger EM and passive value, but by choosing this you will have to spam Normal and Charged Attack while waiting her elemental skill cooldown.
Last one is 3 star Magic Guide, easy to get and max refine.
How about other Elemental Mastery catalyst like Wandering Evenstar and Mappa Mare? Yes, they could work, but Magic Guide with it’s passive is better.
Artifacts
Best artifact for EM Barbara is 4 Flower of Paradise Lost with 4 set effect to increase damage for Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon elemental reaction.

Nilou Bloom Team
There’s no Bloom Team without Nilou. This team consisting of 2 Hydro with Nilou being one of them, and in this case we are using Barbara. Other character is 2 dendro character or 1 dendro and 1 EM anemo support.
Nilou Bloom team
Frozen Bloom
Frozen Bloom, Fridge Bloom whatever you want to call it. Using 1 dendro, 1 cryo, 1 hydro enabler, and 1 utility (shield, healing, anemo 4vv). In this example, we are using Collei, Rosaria, Barbara (EM),and Sucrose.
FridgeBloom team
Since cryo didn’t react with Dendro, this team allow us to utilize both frozen and bloom reaction. Sucrose or other EM swirl also help to gather enemy in one place so Barbara didn’t have to run too often.
